Backpack Giveaway
Each year several hundred backpacks and school supplies
( pens, pencils, notebooks, folders and books) are given to the youth in the Mount Vernon community. The objective is to ensure no school children go without supplies.
City fest
Is one of Westchester’s premiere arts & entertainment festivals showcasing world renowned celebrities and local talent in performance, art, dance, music, theater, film, and sports. City fest spans over 6 city blocks and includes a Children’s Lane, a Pedestrian Mall, and a Health Pavilion for attendees to receive free screenings and obtain Heath and Wellness information.
Easter Egg Hunt
Our "Egg-cellent" Adventure allows our families no shortage of ways to celebrate. It includes face painting, crafts, Double Dutch, and photos with the Easter Bunny. Our hunt takes place in Hartley Park at 255 Gramatan Ave.
Mount Vernon Annual Pumpkin Fest
Is one of our biggest event of the fall season. This event spans for 2 weeks which includes carving pumpkins, a custom haunted house, candy , picture opportunities for all attendees.
Mount Vernon RBI
is committed to providing inner city youth with positive and nurturing instructional learning environment. The organization assists coaches and players in developing skills that will make them successful athletes and productive citizens in our community. Mount Vernon RBI encourages parental involvement at all levels of our organization. It’s designed to be a feeder system to our high school Baseball and Softball programs.
